Are you interested in volunteering your time in useful Christian service?  Volunteers are always welcome at Pass It On.  If you like to meet and interact with people, there is a place for you...

  • as a cashier, valet (person who accepts donations), sales floor assistant
  • to prepare furniture, small appliances, and other items for the sales floor
  • to sort and hang clothing
  • to pick up and deliver items.

No matter what your interest, it is highly likely that we have a place for you.  You may have an opportunity to share your Christian faith with others by the way you approach the work or by talking to customers and other volunteers.

You are not required to volunteer for a certain number of hours or days.  You can come in as often or as little as you wish.  However, a regular commitment for certain hours or days if at all possible is appreciated.  Thursday afternoons and evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays are days when help is especially needed.

If you have children attending Southwest Chicago Christian Schools, you are highly encouraged to volunteer for a minimum of ten hours a year.  Many parents and others are able to help on sort nights:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Participating in a sort night can be a wonderful family project. Some schools require a yearly service hour commitment as part of the curriculum.  Dependable students who need to meet this school commitment may ask to volunteer.  Bring in your school form; we will have you fill out a form for us too.  Service requirements imposed by a court or by another governmental body are not accepted.

If volunteering interests you, please fill out an application form.  We are ready to welcome you!
